Consider this my “Hello World”.
As social media takes a weird turn I’ve noticed a few of my peers turn back to blogging as their way of reaching their audience or to simply brain-dump ideas and thoughts, so that’s what I plan to do here.
Hey, I’m Aaron, I’m a musician, writer, husband, dog dad, and wannabe shitposter on the Internet. I’m obsessed with music and have been for as long as I can remember. I’ve been making music on and off for the better part of two and a half decades, been in countless bands that never really achieved anything and had a pretty interesting music production career between 2019 and 2024.
I’m currently writing heavier music – something I’ve wanted to do for a while – and it’s taking shape quite nicely. Think of it as a blend of post-hardcore, nu-metal, and shoegaze, with a bit of new wave thrown in – I call it nu-gaze. I want to establish a place to share this progress and give some insight into the process behind it, so here we are.
As it becomes increasingly difficult to reach people on social media, this will be the space where I’ll be sharing a smorgasbord of stuff, whether it’s long-form content, work-in-progress music, final releases, or the odd brain dump.
I’ll continue to post on places like Threads and BlueSky, but I’m hoping a lot of it will end up here. While you can’t subscribe to get updates yet, I’m hoping to integrate some form of newsletter in the future that’ll give you a nudge about new updates – if you’re into that.
